TRACtion 3.0, released in August, 2009, adds many new features while continuing to emphasize both power and simplicity. These enhancements expand data management and reporting, interface customization, and project and account administration. Many of the new features described below came directly from Voice of the Customer feedback.
Data Management and Reporting
TRACtion 3.0 is now easier to use for tracking and reporting project information. Below are the primary improvements that will assist professionals as they work to create more detailed, higher-quality project reports and summaries.

| TRACtion Report Wizard |
 A top enhancement within TRACtion 3.0 is the new, intuitive user interface for report creation.
Users can now use the TRACtion Report Wizard, a seven-step process, to create and save customized reports and templates for Project and Ideas Reports. |
| Web-like Project Search |
 TRACtion users can now search projects using a Web-like search interface, with advanced features that help to home in on high-quality results, especially when you need to sort through hundreds of projects and ideas.
For example, a search string such as “+revenue –inventory” will return a list of all projects that contain the word revenue and that do not contain the word inventory in any text fields. |
| Share Files by Category |
You can now share uploaded project files under separate categories of Project, Financial, and Phase/Question. |
| Data Analysis and Project Templates link |
 A new link on the question screen provides access to a page where the user can find over 45 helpful Lean Six Sigma Excel files and templates.
These files, which include A3 Report, SIPOC, Project Prioritizer, Gantt Chart and Control Plan, are useful to planning and executing a project. |
| Calendarized Financials |
Users now have the option to enter anticipated savings over time. Financial categories include Cashflow/Speed, Hard Cost Savings, Revenue, and Soft Cost Savings. |
| Improved Project Summary Screen |
The Project Summary Screen now includes Individual Progress Indicators for Tasks, Questions and the Overall Project and displays
Target/Actual Dates for project and phases. |

No deployment's needs are the same, and TRACtion has always been easy to customize for your needs. TRACtion 3.0 extends your ability to create a relevant and usable project tracking and management system.

| Financial Customizable Labels |
Administrators can now customize all financial categories and labels for each client. |
| Hierarchical User-defined Fields |
Optionally, TRACtion can be configured with hierarchical custom user fields. This can be useful in mapping an organization into the user defined fields.
For example, if an instance has been set up with Region, Site, and Business Unit data, when the user selects a Region, the Site drop down list is populated with the appropriate values. Likewise, when a Site is selected the appropriate Business Unit values will be displayed. |
| Support for Asian character Sets |
TRACtion now has support for Asian character sets. |
Project and Account Administration
Behind-the-scenes features are just as important (or maybe more so!) as the interface that Belts use to enter and monitor projects. TRACtion 3.0 adds several noteworthy features that assist TRACtion administrators to provide authorization and deployment leaders to track project and educational progress.

| Belt Certification Management |
The Integrated TRACtion/e-Learning Belt Certification Management provides administrators with a custom setup for one or more Certifications through links to MoreSteam e-learning courses. Using this feature, clients can view which courses a user has completed, see all projects that the user has been involved with, and track and update the certification status for any number of belts. |
| TRACtion Super User Account |
You can now establish a "Super User" Account, which confers the administrative rights to perform any action on any project that any project role can perform. For example, a Super User account is useful for changing champions if a champion has left the company. |
| Outside Team Member TAL |
The new TRACtion Authorization Level (TAL) for Outside Team Members allows you to set up vendors or other outside resources and assign them as Team Members to projects. Outside Team Members can have any of the same privileges as Team Members, but can also be restricted to have read-only access to projects. Outside Team Members can only view projects to which they have been assigned as a Team Member. |
| Expanded Project Update Privilege Settings |
With this feature, administrators can now set role project privileges independently for Active, In Audit, and Completed projects.
For example, on an active project, all Team Members are able to update project info. Then, when the project is audited, only the Financial Auditor and Champion have permission to update project info. Finally, after the project has been completed, the Champion could still retain project update privileges. |
